Charity Afadua's story is one of the most powerful examples of what sponsorship and long-term support can achieve.
As a young child, Charity was taken in by the Countryside Children's Home in Bawjiase, Ghana. With the faithful support of life-long sponsors Julian and Sarah Warren, and the guidance of George and Sally Bainborough, she was given the chance to grow up in safety and pursue an education.
Charity went on to earn a degree in procurement management, married Harold Acquah, and today serves as the Director of the Akwaaba Seeway Foundation, the local partner organisation that works alongside Seeway Trust in Ghana.
She now oversees the Seeway Academy in Namanwora, leading a school and children's home much like the one that shaped her own future.
"We have been changed to change others. We have been blessed to bless others."
Charity's journey from vulnerable child to community leader, is a testament to the power of sustained, relational support. It's the kind of transformation that Seeway Trust works towards every day.
