What do we do?
We aim to provide regular food, a home as part of a caring family, and a good education to orphaned and abandoned children by developing strong links and working with those who are local to the area of need. We enable them to establish orphanages, build and equip medical and education facilities.
Where necessary, non government organisations (NGO's) are set up, comprising a voluntary board of directors made up of key members of the local community who work with those who oversee the day to day operations. They also ensure funds are used for their designated purpose and report back to Seeway Trust UK.
The support offered is available to orphaned or abandoned children regardless of race, gender, disability or religion.
How do we do it? We work with the local NGO to find or build a suitable orphanage and raise funds to cover the costs. Other times we will help to provide a school, a classroom, start a farm to provide food, fund a nurse, set up medical facilities, or even dig a bore hole to provide fresh water.
The possibilities are limitless – essentially we aim to increase independence and decrease dependence.
